A wedding day rolling around? Or, planning to host a social celebration with minimum contact? Just modify your party format!
Here is how you can do that!
Even if weddings and parties cannot allow handshakes and hugs during the Coronavirus outbreak, the celebration can still be filled with love. All you need is a few adjustments, without a need to worry about the venue capacity restrictions and the COVID-19 social distancing norms.
Micro Wedding
To avoid the risk of the Coronavirus spread, micro wedding is an ideal format. With the social distancing imposed limits, your guest count has already been organically reduced to 50. It is always easier to organize a party for a few people in attendance, all the while ensuring that every one is adhering to the social distancing guidelines.
Live Stream your Party for your Dear Ones
We are well aware that grandparents and the other out-of-town relatives cannot attend a party due to the health risk from being exposed. So, why not make some arrangements at your event to include your loved ones virtually (if not physically)? Live stream your party for your loved ones who cannot attend the festivity with you. Hire an expert to record all the action and let your friends and family enjoy the ceremony live right from their couches.
Shift Wedding
Shift wedding is a great idea when your guest list is too large to accommodate in just one time, following the COVID-19 norms. With shift wedding, you can choose to host smaller groups of guests in shifts. You can prioritize your time as your friendship and immediately family groups change. The venue can also be cleaned and disinfected in between the shifts.
Social Distancing Food Court
Wedding buffets have been a favorite for a long time now, but you can’t risk even sharing the serving utensils. It’s better to arrange a plated meal with your caterer to help avoid the spread of germs. Bite-sized, tong-friendly appetizers is another good idea to allow guests to easily move around and maintain the distance. Spread out the drinks and food items throughout the venue so that guests can help themselves without having to stand in a queue. You can also choose to distinguish your guests’ glasses using name stickers to avoid any mix-up.
Rethink the Seating Arrangement
It is very important to rethink the seating arrangement to ensure that your guests have been spread out. Do not overcrowd the tables, may be large tables are a better idea over the smaller ones which come with four or five chairs, to give the guests some space. You can even choose to get creative by planning for assigned seating with fun name tags.
Hand Sanitizing Stations
Even if you have set everything right, do not forget to set up at least a few hand sanitizing stations as an indispensable precautionary measure.
Creative, isn’t it? A little modification is all you need to design your party right. Begin by redesigning the basics.
